'Vampire woman' Maria Hose Cristerna will be able to scare future generations from beyond the grave as she is about to be immortalised in wax.

Waxworks of the 35-year-old tattoo artist, from Mexico, will feature at Ripley's Believe It Or Not! attractions around the world.

The changing face of Maria Hose Cristerna. Seen left is her marriage photo at the age of 17.
The entertainment company has taken the mother-of-four to its headquarters in Florida to make body casts of her.
Lead sculptor Bruce Miller said: 'Her head has been the biggest challenge.
'She has really long hair - dreadlocks - and we had to hoist them up over a light fixture to keep them out of the way.'
And then there is the small matter of her body embellishments.

Maria, who trained as a lawyer and is from a deeply religious family, said: 'It's my vampire dream to be immortal.'
She has tattooed almost 100 per cent of her body, had titanium 'horns' implanted into her skull and dental implants that give her 'fangs'.
'The horns I have are a symbol of strength and were implanted without anaesthetic.'
'I had the fangs done because I loved vampires as a little girl and I changed the colour of my eyes so they were how I really wanted them to be,' she said.
